Grinspoon
Australian rock band from Lismore, New South Wales
Formed in 1995
Phil Jamieson on vocals, Pat Davern on guitar, Joe Hansen on bass guitar and Kristian Hopes on drums
Winners for the Triple J Unearthed competition for Lismore, with "Sickfest"
Their name was taken from Dr. Lester Grinspoon, an associate professor emeritus of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School who supports marijuana for medical use.
You Am I
Australian alternative rock band
Lead singer-songwriter-guitarist, Tim Rogers
Formed in December 1989
First Australian band to have released three successive albums that have each debuted at the number-one position on the ARIA Albums Chart: Hi Fi Way; Hourly, Daily; and #4 Record
Achieved ten ARIA Music Awards
The band have supported international artists such as The Who, The Rolling Stones, Sonic Youth and Oasis.

Australian indie pop band
Formed in 2009 in Fremantle, Western Australia

They describe their 'vibe' as "squelchy, crispy, streamlined, hairy, indie"

Violent Femmes
American folk punk band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Singer, guitarist and songwriter Gordon Gano, bassist Brian Ritchie, saxophonist and keyboardist Blaise Garza, and drummer John Sparrow
Violent Femmes have released ten studio albums and 15 singles
Their self-titled debut album (1983) features Blister in the Sun, Kiss Off, Add It Up and Gone Daddy Gone
Violent Femmes is their biggest-selling album, and was certified platinum by the RIAA
Violent Femmes went on to become one of the most successful alternative rock bands of the 1980s, selling more than 9 million albums by 2005
Eskimo Joe
Australian alternative rock band, from East Fremantle, Western Australia
Formed in 1997 by Stuart MacLeod (lead guitar), Joel Quartermain (drums and guitar), and Kavyen Temperley (bass guitar and vocals)
The band has released six albums
Albums include Girl (2001); A Song Is a City (2004); Black Fingernails, Red Wine (2006) Inshalla (2009); Ghosts of the Past (2011); and Wastelands (2013)
