Dinner out @ Sandstone Point Hotel

It’s Friday. It’s the end of the week. That means dinner out time!

We quickly jump onto the Sandstone Point Hotel website, book a table for 6.30pm and start salivating over what we might choose off the menu this time.

As we arrive, the atmosphere is vibrant, people spill out of one of the function rooms and fill the venue with laughter, whilst others kick back and enjoy a glass of wine around the open fire.

We, however, have hungry kids in tow so we head straight over to our table to start planning out the smorgasbord of food we are about to inhale!

Entrée

We have some usual favourites:

  • Garlic Pizza Bread (kids favourite)

  • Tomato Bruschetta (our favourite)

  • Tempura Sesame Prawns (for the girls – boys have allergies to shellfish)

Mains

The boys are typically creatures of habit. Margherita pizza & steak from the grill.

But for us girls, we usually like to try something different each time. Tonight we tried the Chicken Parmigiana (which was HUGE) and the Duck with Kipfler potatoes; beetroot, fetta, and rocket salad and drizzled with a red-wine jus. A perfect wintery night meal.

Dessert

The kids make a b-line for the ice creamery, whilst we settle for a nightcap 😉.

Sandstone Point Hotel offers a range of different dining experiences:

  • Restaurant

  • Bar

  • Waterfront Fish & Chippery

  • Oyster Shed

The Sandstone Point Hotel menus are seasonal, derived from fresh local produce. Whilst you are likely to secure a table during the week as a walk-in, we recommend you book ahead if you’re thinking about dining in the restaurant Fri-Sun.

Book online or call 3475 3001.
